I would like to invite you to attend our next lodge meeting on Thursday, November 8th, at D'Ignazio's Towne House, 117 Veteran's Square, Media, PA. Cocktails are available at 6:30 pm. (cash bar) and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. The cost is $24.00 per person, which can be paid at the door. Our dinner selections are Grilled Chicken with Lemon Herb Butter or Eggplant Parmesan with Spaghetti. When you arrive at the restaurant please check in with the hostess and she will direct you to our meeting room.

Please contact me via email before Tuesday, November 6, to confirm your dinner reservation as I must give a head count to the Towne House. If you make a reservation and then, for some reason you cannot attend, please contact me no later than the day prior to the meeting so that I can notify the restaurant and avoid our lodge being charged for your dinner.

Our guest speaker this month will be Prof. Nicholas Patruno, head of the Italian Department at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Patruno will speak on internationally acclaimed Italian author Primo Levi, and discuss Levi's book Survival at Auschwitz.

If you have made a reservation for the District Five Dinner, remember that it will be held on November 18th at Drexelbrook. This dinner will honor our own Jessica Conley, as well as the Golden Jubilarians and Dante Commission Scholarship winners, three of whom are from Central Delco. Last day for reservations was Monday, October 29th.

Our own Christmas Party will be held Sunday, December 9, from 4-8 pm at Drexelbrook. Rose DiGiovanni and Nancy Giuliani have graciously agreed to be in charge of the baskets of cheer. Please bring either a bottle of wine, liquor or a cash donation for the baskets to the November meeting. Putting the baskets together is a large undertaking and we are fortunate to have Rose and Nancy take on this task; however, they can not create the baskets without your generous support.

The November meeting will also be the last opportunity to purchase The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania's Lucky Daily Number Calendar for 2008. A donation of $35 is required for purchase.
